Our Board Meeting in Edinburgh
The IATM Board Members met in Edinburgh, Scotland, in early April. They discussed the network’s current projects and learned more about the work at National Museums Scotland.
The working situation during the COVID-19 pandemic taught us, that online meetings are great but getting together in-person is highly valuable. Beside the conferences, the IATM Board aims to meet in person once a year. This time, newly elected Board Member Meredith Greiling invited all members to Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom. There, she is the Acting Keeper of Science and Technology at National Museums Scotland.

During the meeting, the Board members not only discussed current matters of IATM but also gained an insight into NMS. One of their highlights was a visit to the Collection Centre.
The meeting agenda included discussions on the upcoming conference “The AI Shift. Transforming Transport and Communication Museums” as well as our fellowship programme Skillbridge and its further development. Our Board Members also took time to collect a few of the many reasons on why you should be attending our next annual conference. Find more on this in the article below.
The meeting minutes will be shared on the Board’s webpage soon.
