That was IATM’s 46th Annual Conference in London!
From 24-27 September 2023, delegates from across the world’s transport and communications museums gathered in London, United Kingdom, for IATM’s 46th Annual Conference: The Post-Pandemic World and the Museum. The International Association of Transport and Communications Museums explored future proof ideas, practices, and strategies that respond to the newly defined roles of museums following the Covid19-pandemic. A report on the conference along with photos and presentations is now available on our website. IATM delegates discussed what contributions transport and communication museums must make in the post-pandemic society. Call for papers and presentations on good practice from member museums
IATM Conference, Prague, 28-31 August 2022 IATM is proud to present its first in-person conference in three years. The IATM Board are keen for as many delegates as possible to have a voice in Prague, to tell us about your museum and it’s view of the future, so do get in touch with your ideas now. This is the opportunity for you to make a short 15-20 minute presentation to the conference, perhaps a case study or reflection from your own museum, for Session One: Museums as advocates for environmental sustainability. Join us in Prague this August for the return to a face-to-face IATM conference IATM Annual Conference, Prague, Czech Republic, 28 – 31 August 2022 Theme – Sustaining our Museums in a Challenging World As we learn to live with Covid, our museums must now play a part in creating a sustainable world. Against the background of the beautiful city of Prague, we are hosted by the Czech Postal Museum, the National Technical Museum, the Prague Transport Museum and the Czech Railway Museum, with the four star Hotel Belvedere in central Prague as our base. Call for paper: Sustainable museums
Dear Colleagues, Share your best practice and ideas with us! In September 2019 we’ll come together in Berlin, Germany. The International Association of Transport and Communications Museums invites you to shape the conference by submitting an innovative and forward-thinking proposal for paper presentations or workshops/interactive sessions by Friday, 31st May 2019. Proposals must relate to the following subthemes.
